The Siemens 6ES7461-0AA00-0AA0 is an IM 461-0 interface module. It is used as a send IM for central connection over short distances (upto five meters). As well as receiving data from both the P-bus and C-bus, this interface module also transmits P and K bus, can be plugged into an expansion rack and should be used exclusively with IM 460-0. The 6ES7 461-0AA00-0AA0 has a number of features including:

  • Battery infeed socket for connecting an external battery
  • Two LEDs for indicating faults
  • One interface (output) for connecting the 468-1 cable to the downstream interface module
  • One interface (input) for connecting the 468-1 cable of the upstream interface module
  • Coding switch for setting the number of the rack
