The Siemens 6SN1146-1BB02-0CA0 is an infeed/regenerative (I/R) feedback module. These modules are part of the Simodrive converter system range which has a modular design to allow it to be flexibly adapted to its area of application. 

The Simodrive 611 drive system is used in a variety of different applications including:

• Machine tools
• Production machines for glass, textiles, stone and wood
• Manipulators and robots
• Presses and packaging machines
• Mass production and jobshop production

What is an I/R Module?

Infeed modules are used to connect the drive group to the drive supply. I/R modules input power into the DC link and also provide the electronics power supply for the connected modules. This infeed/regenerative feedback module is a 36/47kW regulated module with external cooling and mains protection.

The external cooling means that the 6SN1146-1BB02-0CA0 has heatsinks outside the housing. Mounting the module requores inserting the heatsinks through the openings at the back of the cabinet, which results in cooling being achieved at the side facing the user.

Infeed modules are able to generate the DC voltage for the DC link from the following line supply voltages:

• 3 ph, 400V AC ±10% 50/60Hz
• 3 ph, 415V AC ±10% 50/60Hz
• 3 ph, 480V AC ±6%-10% 50/60Hz

Arranging the Modules

Your infeed  (I/R) modules should be located on the left of the rest of the modules in the Simodrive converter system. Beside the infeed module is where the power modules are located.
