The CIMR-E7Z40550 is a 55kW, 112A, 380...480V AC variable speed drive from the Varispeed E7 range manufactured by Yaskawa. The whole Varispeed E7 range was designed exclusively for HVAC applications in building automation, such as fan and pump applications that require a quadratic torque characteristic.

Easy Inverter Management

The LCD keypad for the CIMR-E7Z40550 makes it remarkably easy to commission and manage your VSD. This keypad has seven language choices, a 16 character per line, five line display, copy feature and hand/off/auto functions. Enable upload and download of parameters, graphing and monitoring of drive parameters from a PC with additional optional software.

Benefits of the Varispeed E7 Range

The Varispeed E7 range was exclusively designed for HVAC applications (pumps and fans) which require quadratic torque. It has numerous features that make it reliable, easy to use and an effective VSD.

• High Slip Braking - This feature enables braking up to three times faster. This is without using a braking transistor or resistor.
• Low Noise Operation - High switching frequency of IGBT greatly reduces noise during pump and fan operation.
• High Speed Overcurrent Limiting Function - This feature avoids overcurrent tripping and allows restart after power failure, attempted restart after malfunction and motor stall prevention.
• Speed Search Function - This function determines speed and direction of a coasting motor to the required reference speed in both directions.
• User-Friendly Installation and Operation - The digital operator on the front of the drive is equipped with a parameter copy function and can be used up to 3 metres away with a standard cable. Optional LCD interface with plain text is available for the CIMR-E7Z4055055kW variable frequency drive.
• Quick Programming - Programming is sped up as the most important parameters which differ from the factory’s parameter pre-settings.
• Fan - The inverter fan is easy to replace, as the user does not need to dismantle the unit. It also switches itself off when the motor is at a standstill.
• Control Terminals - These are detachable for ease of use.
• Global Fieldbus Standards Supported - RS485 and RS422 both supported. Optional cards are available for Profibus-DP, INTERBUS-S, CANopen and DeviceNet (LONworks, CC Link and ControlNet.)
