The Allen Bradley 1785-BCM is a high speed backup communications module for the PLC-5 system of programmable logic controllers. The modules provides high speed backup communications and switchover of the Data Highway Plus and remote I/O links. The module is now obsolete and is no longer fully supported by Rockwell Automation.  If you are using PLC-5/20, 5/30, 5/40 or 5/60 processors than you will need to purchase a BCM series B revision C or higher. This information will be clearly displayed on the side of the unit.
