The Sick LGTN101-521 is a control unit for LGT Safety Light Grids which are used for point-of-point guarding and and hazardous area guarding. Typical applications include

  • Form clamps as used in the wood industry
  • Packaging machines
  • Processing centres
  • Production lines
  • Revolving transfer machines
  • Component insertion machines
  • Continuous lifts
  • Palletizers 

The Sick LGTN101-521 has four switching outputs, each of which performs different functions.

  • Main relay contact output
  • Auxiliary relay contact output
  • Protective Zone status (PNP)
  • Contamination output (PNP)

Two digital seven segment displays provide feedback to the operation on the status, alignment, and faults.  As the LGTN 101-521 has an open IP54 chassis it must be mounted within a control cabinet.
