ISS2 Resolver Module for Unidrive Series Drives
Description

A propos de ce produit

Voici tout ce que vous devez savoir

The Control Techniques UD53 is a Resolver Feedback Module designed to accept sinusoidal motor position feedback signals from a motor shaft encoder. The module offers simulated encoder (EIA485 quadrature or frequency and direction) output and easy drive positioning feedback in rugged and demanding environments. The UD53 is installed below the keypad of the Control Techniques UniDrive Classic.

Resolver Resolution

The resolver resolution is determined by the maximum required speed as set up in parameters of the drive. The maximum speed can be changed when the drive is enabled but only if the resolution of the resolver does not also require changing.

Maximum Motor SpeedResolver ResolutionSimulated Encoder Output PPR in Quadrature Mode
0-3000 rpm14 bit4096
3001-12000 rpm12 bit1024

Encoder Simulation Output

The encoder simulation output is derived from the resolver through a digital conversion IC within the Control Techniques UD53 module. The maximum number of pulses per revolution is equal to the resolution of the resolver divided by four. Changing the maximum speedof the motor so that the resolution changes will cause loss of position.

The encoder resolution can be reduced further by using divide parameters; changing this parameter will also cause a loss of position. The zero pulse position can only be change by rotating the resolver relative to the shaft. The outputs are to the EIA-485 specification/
