Within the S7 family there are three main ranges that are all capable of different tasks; the S7-200, S7-300 and S7-400. So which series is the best for which applications? As a basic outline, S7-200 are the smallest of the three and are most suited to basic tasks, S7-300 are for the mid range tasks in industries such as packaging and automotive, and S7-400 is the most powerful of the bunch making it suited to the most demanding applications.
