Telemecanique is a leading OEM of automation products. Established in 1924 by Michel le Goullec, Telemecanique invented the first contactor and soon became a dominating force in industrial control and automation. Not long after they also had more innovations with the first thermal relays, float switches and pressure gauges. Telemecanique continued to grow within France and in 1928 opened an office in Belgium before growing globally in 1960. In 1988, Telemecanique were acquired by Schneider Electric and today they continue to operate as a subsidiary of the global brand.
