The compact Micro Drive with everything at your fingertips

Without taking up too much space, the compact micro drive delivers the overall quality of design, reliability and user-friendliness engineers associate with Danfoss VLT drives. Despite the compact size and the easy commissioning, a VLT Micro Drive can be set up to perform perfectly, even in complex application set-ups. Approximately 100 parameters can be set to optimise energy efficiency and operation. These can be adjusted using the intuitive user interface on the graphical operator keypad or via Danfoss MCT10 software. If youre having issues or need assistance our engineers can help commision your drive.

React to any event

The smart logic controller, built into the Micro Drive, is a simple yet clever way to make your drive, motor and application work seamlessly together. The smart logic controller is able to monitor any parameter that can be characterised as true or false. This includes digital commands and also logic expressions, which allow even sensor outputs to influence the operation. Temperature, pressure, flow, time, load, frequency, voltage and other parameters combined with the operators >, <, =, and and or form logic expressions that are true or false. That is why Danfoss calls it a Built-in Smart Logic Controller. As a result of this, you can program the controller to react to pretty much any event.

Big performance in a compact box

Despite the compact size and the easy commissioning, a VLT Micro Drive can be set up to perform perfectly, even in complex application setups. Approximately 100 parameters can be set to optimise energy efficiency and operation.

Built-in RFI

Radio disturbance from motor cables is limited with the built-in RFI filter, which allows for 15m motor cables (screened). Meets EU norms.

Built-in brake chopper

With built in DC and AC brake functions, VLT Micro Drive can transform kinetic energy in the application into braking power to slow down the motor. A brake chopper is built in the drives from 1.5kW upwards.

Intelligent heat management

One major cause of drive failure is overheating. Overheating can cause internal components such as capacitors to fail. Dirt, blocked fans and heatsinks are often to blame. To prolong the lifetime of their drives, Danfoss use a back channel heat sink to remove heat away from the drive as well as the conformal coating on the internal electronics to protect the internal boards against dust which can cause overheating.

Easy setup

Danfoss drives are designed to be easy to setup. Select from one of two keypads or use the MCT10 programming software for an intuitive hassle free setup. You can find the two keypads, remote mounting kit and software in the related products tab.

Great for the environment

The kinetic energy that is created in the application is transformed into braking power for the motor. This means that the drive doesnt only save space thanks to its tiny size, as well as being built to last. It should cost much less to run thanks to its energy saving power for your mixers, fans and pumps and conveyor applications.
