The Allen Bradley 1771-QB is a linear positioning module that enables you to achieve accurate, high speed control of 1 or 2 linear closed loop axes. This module is now obsolete but at the time of release it brought numerous benefits to its users such as fast and accurate system control, application flexibility and high speed overall performance. 

In addition to positioning, this module also has two outputs for servo valve or servo motor controllers, 14 discrete inputs and four discrete outputs at 24 VDC. It was designed to control and monitor in hydraulic and servo motor control systems in applications. Features of this module include:

  • Two independent axes
  • All external connections are clearly isolated
  • 2 ms update rate
  • Simulation modes permit permit off-site testing
  • Proportional, integral, derivative and feed-forward control
  • Built-in diagnostics to reduce downtime
  • Position, velocity and acceleration can be changed on the fly
  • Velocities up to 3.2767 meters/second supported
  • Velocity smoothing reduces equipment wear
