About the Manufacturer

Today Ziehl-Abegg are particularly well known for their fans and drives but they began over 100 years ago in 1910 as the Ziehl-Abegg Electricity Company in Berlin. After WWII, brothers Heinz and Guenther Ziehl rebuilt the company in Kuenzelsau, Germany and in 1955 developed their first external motor rotor followed by the development of the external rotor motor as a motor for fans in 1960. In the years that followed the company opened subsidiaries all over the world including Sweden, the UK, USA, Japan and India.
