The 6ES5460-7LA13 is an 8 channel analog input module designed to work with the Siemens Simatic S5-135U/155U range of programmable logic controllers. The module can also be used with the S5-155U by using the adapter casing.  Each module requires one slot in the rack with signal leads. The signal leads must bee connected with front connectros. They can be labelled in the field on the front panel. Functions such as wire break signalling, line frequency or measuring range are set using switches at the rear of the module. The 6ES5460-7LA13 indicates over range errors as well as wire breakage in the sensor line for the Pt100.
