The Siemens 6ES5 922-3UA11 is one of the available processors (CPUs) for the Simatic S5-135U range of programmable controllers. The S5-135U is a mid to high range PLC with multi-processor capacity and a compact design. 6ES5922-3UA11 CPU modules can be used in single and multi-processor operation with up to four CPUs able to be used alongside one another.

With this CPU, the following process levels are possible; Cyclic, time controlled (one timebase) and interrupt-driven (hardware interrupt). It is optimised for arithmetic operations, closed-loop control, monitoring and reporting.

The S5-135U controllers are suited to a variety of automation tasks including:
