Siemens Simatic S5 CPU928 Processor Module

The now obsolete, Siemens 6ES5928-3UB11 was a powerful multiprocessor module for the Simatic S5-135U/155U series of programmable controllers. Often called the CPU 928B the 6ES5 928-3UB11 was particularly well suited for;

• Tasks requiring fast bit and word oriented processing and reaction times i.e. with extremely fast open and closed loop controls. An typical appplciation would be bottling plants, packaging machines or the automotive industry.
• Task requiring an extremely high storage capacity and fast access times
• Task requiring fast communication with other CPUs installed in the PLC and operating in the multiprocessor mode with CP moduels.
• Complex tasks which can be handled efficiently and clearly using high level languages C and SCL.

A copy of Step 5 is required to program the CPU 948B.
