Simatic S7-200 PLCs
By Siemens
Class-leading control technology
Compact, modular, powerful PLC technology

The S7-200 PLC range by Siemens achieves what many others cannot - powerful performance in a compact package. Its real-time response is fast, it features great communication options and has software that is simple and easy to operate. The compact modular design enables you to create a customised solution that isnt overly large, but is flexible enough that you can add to it at any point in the future. Millions of stand-alone and networked applications around the world utilise the Siemens Simatic S7-200, and it's easy to see why.

Open communication

As the S7-200 is modular, you can implement communication modules to ensure you can connect to your network of choice including Profibus, AS-Interface and Ethernet. Built-in RS 485 interface is also included on every PLC. Other interface options include internet connectivity for email, HTTP and FTP server functionality, and a modem module for remote maintenance, teleservice or telecontrol.

Powerful performance

If your space is tight but you can't compromise on performance, the S7-200 is the answer. It's ideal for any application where space is limited and each CPU model has basic and advanced functionality. With Simatic S7-200 you enjoy large program and data memory, outstanding real-time response and easy-to-use STEP 7 engineering software which is ideal for both experts and beginners.

Expanding is easy

Expand the S7-200 based on the needs of your task with the vast selection of expansion modules. The I/O is scalable so you can add both digital and analog expansions as well as different communication options, temperature modules, positioning, remote diagnostics and weighing modules.

Convenient software

STEP 7-Micro/WIN programming software enables you to save time and gives you powerful tools at your fingertips. It's also in a familiar Windows interface, making it feel user-friendly and easy-to-use. There is also a host of functions that make programming a doddle, including trend charts and wizards. Programming is done in the standard editors LAD, FBD and STL, with it also easy to change between them.

It's easier with a wizard

The convenient wizards that you can use when programming the Simatic S7-200 controllers have numerous benefits. It enables you to parameterise rather than program, which makes the process much simpler. Complex tasks can be configured graphically as well as automatic check of available memory areas and the automatic generation of program logic and subroutines.

It's a match

Of course, the Simatic S7-200 range is perfectly matched with other equipment made by Siemens, including their popular HMIs. Whether you want a smaller, text display type HMI like the TD 100, TD 200 and TD 400, a graphical display like the OP 73 series or even a touch panel like the TP 177, there are a number of excellent solutions for operator control and monitoring of your S7-200 PLC.
