About the Manufacturer

The first PLCs from the Simatic S7 family were released by Siemens in 1995 and continue to be used today in a vast array of applications. 6ES7521-1BL00-0AB0 is just one of the modules from the S7 range. Within the S7 family there are three main ranges that are all capable of different tasks; the S7-200, S7-300 and S7-400. So which series is the best for which applications? As a basic outline, S7-200 are the smallest of the three and are most suited to basic tasks, S7-300 are for the mid range tasks in industries such as packaging and automotive, and S7-400 is the most powerful of the bunch making it suited to the most demanding applications. All Simatic S7 PLCs are modular so that you can add modules based on your own application\'s needs. At Northern Industrial, we have a vast amount of Siemens kit on the shelf including modules from the S7 range and can provide technical advice if you require.
