About the Manufacturer

6ES7531-7KF00-0AB0 is from the Simatic S7 family of programmable controllers which was first debuted by Siemens in 1995. Within the S7 family there are three main series that are all capable of different tasks; the S7-200, S7-300 and S7-400. S7-200 PLCs are the smallest of the bunch and can be used as stand alone controllers or alongside other PLCs. The S7-300 is more of a mid range PLC for the packaging and automotive industries whilst the S7-400 is the powerhouse of the group and is made for use in the most demanding applications. With a modular design, all S7 PLCs enable you to add or remove modules based on what you need from the controller. At Northern Industrial, we have a large amount of Siemens kit on the shelf including modules from the S7 range and can provide technical advice if you require.
