The Omron CJ1W-NC413 is a 4 axis position control module for the CJ-series of programmable logic controllers.  The module receives instructions from the PLC's work area and output pulse trains to various motor drivers for positioning.  This module has a number of key features including:

High Speed Response

The CJ1W-NC413 responds to instructions from the CPU module within 2 ms.

Memory Operation & Direct Operation

The module can be controlled in two different ways.  The first method is direct operation where the target position and target speed are set each time from the processor module. The first method is where the program used to control positioning is transferred to the CJ1W-NC413 and then specified for position control. 

Axis Control & Output Type

The Omron CJ1W-NC41 provides linear interpolation control for all 4 axis. Open collector output or line driver output is available for any number of control axis. 

Motor Drive Selectable by Axis

A stepper drive and a servo drive with a pulse train input can be connected to the CJ1W-NC413. A nice feature of the modules is that you can set different operating modes for different axes allowing the combined use of different types of motor drive.

Interrupt Feeding

When an interrupt is input during pulse output, positioning is continued for only a specified amount and then stopped

Position and Speed Control Ranges

with the NC413 positioning is possible over a wide range with speed precision. Position can be performed for positions in the range -1,073,741,823 to 1,073,741,823 pulses and speeds in the range 1 to 500,000 pps in 1 pulse units.

The data items are transferred to the CJ1W-NC413. Once they have been transferred to the PCU they can be saved to the modules flash memory, so there is no requirement to build battery maintenance into your maintenance schedule.

CX-Position

The Omron CJ1W-NC413 is compatible with CX-Position, the Windows based NC support software. Using the CJ-series single port multi access function, creation and transfer of parameter and data for PCU in a windows environment. Using the CJ-series single port multi-access function, creation and transfer or parameters and data for PCUs as well as operation monitoring are possible from the saem environment as the software used for the CPU unit ladder programming (CX-Programmer).
