Description

Informationen zu diesem Produkt

Hier ist alles, was Sie wissen müssen

  • Modicon 140CPU67160 Quantum Hot Standby Processor Module 2048/7168K
  • For use with Modicon Quantum Automation Platform
  • 768Kb of Internal Memory, 266MHz clock
  • 5 x Integrated Communications Ports (1 x RS485 Modbus/ASCII , 1 x Modbus Plus , 1 x Ethernet TCP/IP , 1 x USB port & 1 x Hotstandby 100Mbps)
Overview

The Quantum 140CPU67160 processor is dedicated to managing Hot Standby functionality for the Quantum series of high performance programmable controllers.

This feature rich processor module delivers

  • Superior scan times and I/O throughput
  • Ability to handle interrupts, timed and I/O based
  • Handling of fast task, as well as a Master task
  • Memory expansion through PCMCIA cards
  • Multiple communication interfaces embedded in the CPU
  • A user friendly diagnostic and operating LCD display

You will also notice on the front of the 140CPU67160 two front slots for PCMCIA cards. The upper slot is used to receive memory extension cards (programs, symbols, constants and data files) while the lower slot can only be used for memory extension cards with data files.

On the 140CPU67160 the application program is store in a battery backed internal RAM. This battery is located on the front of the unit and can be changed whilst the CPU is in run mode.  At Northern Industrial we recommend building battery checks into your preventative maintenance schedule. A key switch is used to protect the program from inadvertent changes during operation

This powerful HotStandby Module incorporates an array of communication ports including

  • Two mod-bus RS485 ports
  • One Modbus Plus Port
  • 10base/T/100base-TX Ethernet Port
  • USB Port

A high contrast LCD keypad on the front of the unit can be used for diagnostic , parameter configuration and operating the CPU.

Memory Backup and Expansion

The CPUs store the application program in a battery-backed internal RAM. The battery is located on the front of the module and can be serviced while the CPU is running. To protect the application program from inadvertent changes during operation, the processors feature a key switch on the front panel. This key switch can also be used to start and stop the CPU.

High-end processors 140 CPU 651 50/60 and 140 CPU 671 60 have two slots for a PCMCIA card:

  • An upper slot (no. 0) to receive memory extension cards (programs, symbols, constants and/or data les).
  • A lower slot (no. 1) to receive memory extension cards specic to the data les
LCD Display
Some CPU models have an LCD display (2 lines of 16 characters) with brightness and contrast controls. Through a keypad and the display the CPUs can be diagnosed, some con guration parameters can be set and the CPUs can be started and stopped.
Hot Standby (redundancy)
The Quantum 140 CPU 671 60 processor is dedicated to managing Hot Standby functionality. It has an Ethernet 100 Mbps ber optic link and the Hot Standby function can be diagnosed through the LCD display
High Performance Processors
Each 140 CPU 671 60 CPU comprises of:
  • An LCD display cover, providing access to:
  • A key switch:
  • Unlocked: all system menu operations are able to be invoked and all changeable module parameters are able to be modi ed by the operator via the LCD and keypad, memory protection is off.
  • Locked: no system menu operations are able to be invoked and all changeable module parameters are read only, memory protection is on.
  • One backup battery slot.
  • One reset button (Restart).
  • An LCD display (2 lines of 16 characters) with brightness and contrast controls.
  • A 5-button keypad with 2 LEDs (ESC, ENTER, MOD, S, C).
  • An RJ45 connector for connecting to the Modbus bus.
  • A type B female USB connector for connecting the programming PC terminal.
  • One 9-pin female SUB-D connector for connecting to the Modbus Plus network.
  • Two slots for PCMCIA memory extension cards.
  • Two LEDs:
  • COM LED (green): indicates Ethernet activity (140 CPU 651 50/60 models),
  • indicates Hot Standby primary or secondary station activity (140 CPU 671 60
  • model)
  • ERR LED (red): indicates Ethernet collision (140 CPU 651 50/60 models),
  • indicates communications error between Hot Standby primary and secondary
  • stations (140 CPU 671 60 model).
  • An RJ45 connector for connecting to the Ethernet network (140 CPU 651 50/60
  • model).
  • One MT-RJ ber optic connector for interconnecting the primary and secondary
  • PLCs in the Hot Standby architecture (140 CPU 671 60 model)
