Automation Direct CPU Module

The Koyo Direct Logic D4-440 is a central processing unit (CPU) for the DL405 series range of PLCs. The D4-440 was also badged and sold under a number of different brand names including Koyo, Automation Direct, PLC Direct and Direct Logic. There is no difference in the parts other than the brand name and the CPU is compatible with Texas Instruments/Simatic TI 435 CPU.

Unlike the D4-450, the Direct Logic D4-440 does not support advanced fucntions like PID, floating point math, drum sequencers, triger functions or Iboxrs. The D4-440 does however off two communication ports. The top port can be used for a direct connection to a PC, handhled programmer or operator panel. The second port is a slave only port and supports Koyos DirectNET and K-sequence protocol at speeds up to 19.2K baud.

The Direct Logic D4-440 does not have any internal storage and therefore requires a memory catridge to store the program.  These memory modules available are:
