About this product

Here is all you need to know

If you need to connect your SLC-500 PLC to a DeviceNet enabled product then the Allen Bradley 1747-SDN is the module you require.  The AB 1747-SDN enables the SLC500 to read inputs and write output to a DeviceNet product, download configuration data and monitor operational status across the network.  Communication with the processor is handled with M1/M) file transfer or Discret I/O. Information includes Device I/O data, Status Information and Configuration data.  One interesting feature of the 1747-SDN is it ability to bridge a DeviceNet network with another network, for example Ethetnet.

Programming the 1747-SDN is fairly simple. RSNetWorx for is used to configure the 1747-SDN module's data tables. The software connects to the module over DeviceNET via a computer RS-232 interface (1770-KFD module) to PC Card (1784-PCD, 1784-PCID or 1784-PCIDS) . If you require any help setting up your 1747-SDN or would like technical advice please do not hesitate to contact us.
