The Allen Bradley 1772-LP3 is a processor module for the now obsolete PLC-2 family. PLC-2 controller systems consist of a processor, an I/O chassis, I/O modules, a terminal to enable you to interface with the PLC. The processor module itself contains a processor chassis, control module, interface module and a power supply. When it was first introduced this processor module had a number of special features including:

  • On-line data change
  • On-line programming
  • On-board alkaline or lithium battery for memory back up
  • Full I/O forcing
  • Data highway interface
  • Remote mode selection
  • Report generation
